Terry's Story

Terry Harrell was a scholarship athlete in football and earned his B.A. in Sociology from Northwestern University graduating in 1983.  Terry followed that educational success by returning to his Alma Mata and attained a Master of Arts degree in communication management from that stoic institution.  

Terry had a very successful career in sales and became an award-winning sales professional which afforded him multiple promotions and leadership opportunities.  An educator at heart, Terry focused his efforts towards helping others and became an accomplished educational speaker focused on pharmaceutical sales.  He has trained more than 1000 nurses, doctors and pharmacists in various pharmaceutical applications and served as lead negotiator in healthcare purchasing contracts.

Eventually Mr. Harrell took his considerable communication talents to Roosevelt University where he redirected his focus to become an enthusiastic, award-winning educator and coach and obtained his teaching degree.  Over the next 20 years, Terry gained a solid understanding of student development and different learning styles.  Terry has an uncanny ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds.  

Terry’s professional aspiration led him to teach at Willowbrook High School, where he developed a championship level Girls’ basketball program. Mr. Harrell founded and served as Executive Director of the West Suburban Sharks Basketball Club for seven years.

A varied experiences and a veteran communicator, his understanding of our youth coupled with his collaborative style of leadership make him a great choice to be part of this effort.
